Annual Sports Meet

"The power of dreams,the influence of human spirit and the potential for greatness lives within each one of us.

"To exhibit the sporting talents , participate in the true spirit of sportsmanship, develop a feeling of belongingness and gain victory in various sports events ,we the Management and Staff of Bensons English Medium High School, Yamanapur, Belagavi conducted the Annual Sports Meet for the Academic Year 2023 -24 on the 24th of November at the District Stadium.

Extending a warm welcome to our Chief Guest Dr Harpreet Kaur, esteemed dignitaries,staff and students,the stadium was all set to make it a very outstanding and eventful moment.

The school choir presented a soulful prayer song to acknowledge the gracious presence of our Almighty, following this God's blessings were invoked by Madam Anupama Sasane upon the Sports Meet as well as all the young athletes who were eagerly waiting to participate in the field and track events.

Our Chief Guest Dr. Harpreet Kaur - Clinical Nutritionist and Specialist in Sports Medicine ,who has a series of achievements both at the National and International level and has been rendering her yomen services to the society, presently working with KLE University ,was felicitated by our Academic Director Madam Rachana Gorle for gracing our Sports Day by her valuable presence.

A flag stands for the vision ,a set of principles,and once it is raised high it proclaims the aims and aspirations. To bring in a sportive spirit and officially begin the Sports Meet , we moved on to the Flag Hoisting Ceremony and Balloon Releasing Ceremony which was done by our Chief Guest and esteemed dignitaries . The Sports Meet was declared open by our Honourable Chief Guest -Dr.Harpreet Kaur.

Seeing the March past troops march in with great zeal built up the spirit of sportiveness in the young athletes. Sports Minister Miss Shreya Sholapurkar and the young athletes who have won prizes at the Zonal and Taluk level presented the lit torch , the symbol of the burning desire to perform and win was handed over to our Chief Guest, which was then held high to encourage the participants to do their best.

The displays with sports equipments as props,pompoms, sunflower cutouts, lezims,and zumba - a fitness dance were all a spectacular treat to the eye.

Chief Guest Dr Harpreet Kaur, in her address to the Students appreciated them for their discipline, spectacular performances and also shared valuable health tips from her treasure of knowledge.

Students participated in various field and track events with great interest and also cheered their team mates to do their best . The prize distribution was done by our Chief Guest Dr.Harpreet Kaur Academic Director Madam Rachana Gorle, Pre Primary Principal Madam Anupama Sasane by felicitating the winners with medals and certificates.

To conclude the Sports Day Meet the Vote of Thanks was proposed and the National Anthem was sung as a mark of respect for our Nation.

The grand success of this event was a team effort of the Staff and the students with the blessings of our Almighty, under the strong support of the Management and the dynamic and able leadership of our Academic Director Madam Rachana Gorle.

National Sports Day

“Winners don't wait for chances, they take them."

Today being our National Sports Day, we organised the celebration for the same to help students understand the significance of this day. In fond memory of the Wizard of hockey Major Dhyan Chand, we paid tribute to this phenomenal player by giving opportunities to students to share the importance of sports and acknowledge the great sports heroes who have been making tremendous contributions in making our nation proud globally. To spread the awareness about physical activity and overall health Karate display was done by High school students. Chess competition was conducted by our Physical Instructor to encourage students develop the true spirit of sportmanship.

Students who brought laurels to the school by participating in the Zonal Sports Meet as well as Pratibha Karanji Competitions and various competitions held at Jain Heritage school were felicitated by Academic Director Madam Rachna Gorle. The celebration of this important day was a grand success with the valuable support of the Management and the encouragement and guidance of our Academic Director Madam Rachna Gorle and the dedicated efforts of the Staff and students.
